Willie Colón announces a concert in New Jersey on September 20 with great guest musicians

This long-awaited show takes place on Saturday, September 20 at the Ritz Theatre in Elizabeth, New Jersey, with Roberto Quintero of “Salsa Project” and Colombian artist Yutho. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 888 561 8757.

Living salsa legend Willie Colón returns to the tri-state area with an unmissable show: a historic night celebrating Latin music, with top guest artists in a first-class production by EEGLIVE, and a unique chance to enjoy his greatest hits live.

Willie Colón, born in the Bronx in 1950, is considered one of the pioneers of salsa. A master of the trombone and of fusing Caribbean, African American and urban rhythms, he formed one of the most important duos in 1970s Latin music with singer Héctor Lavoe. His career includes collaborations with artists such as Rubén Blades and Celia Cruz, and he was key to the development of the salsa movement in New York.

The concert will feature a special appearance by Roberto Quintero, Venezuelan percussionist and leader of Quintero's Salsa Project. This Latin Grammy-nominated group is known for its tribute to the legendary Dimensión Latina and for fusing traditional rhythms with contemporary sounds.

It will be a true celebration for the Latino community in the northeastern U.S., an event that brings music, culture and passion together on one stage.
